My name is Bill Sachse. I live in Erie Pa., up along Lake Erie. I bought my first LBC in 1968 and have pretty much kept one around since then. Among my collection over the years:1965 MG Midget, 1967 Tr4A IRS#1, 1955Tr2 long door (split ownership with my brother), 1967 Tr4A#2, 1966 Tr4A#3, 1972 (I think) Gt6, 1960 Tr3A#1, 1959 Tr3A#2, 1971 Tr6 (gift from mother in law) and 1959Tr3A#3. I still have Tr3A#3, Tr4A#2and Tr6 plus substantial remains from other units. In addition to the LBC's we keep two old trucks around, a nice 1947 International Harvester KB2 with 52k. It is a nice original truck with Factory chrome bumpers, dual electric wipers, two speed heater/defroster and Knox grain bed (diamond plate heavy duty built tight to haul bulk grain without leaking. Second truck is a 1940 Ford 1/2 ton. Good mechanics but needs lost of paint and window dressing work.

1971 Triumph TR6

Commission #:
Manufactured:
Owned since: 1981
Status: very original

Tr6 is a nice 25k original that my mother-in-law and her late husband bought brand new. The car has always been garge stored, has never been in the snow and hardly ever in the rain. It is original except for exhaust, washer pump and battery. Tires are original Michelin RedLines (5). Tach and dash light reostat are inoperative at this time. The original top still looks great and it has (for some reason) brown carpet in the footwells in a red interior. I asked Charles Runyon about it and he advised leaving it as original delivery condition. The best guess is that the dealer had to change the carpets for some reason. We have owned this car since 1981 after our first daughter was born.
