1971 Triumph GT6 Mk. 3

"Owned since" 1975 is a little bit of a misnomer. My father bought the car new from Butler Motors in Indianapolis in 1971. I bought it from him in 1975 for $2000. I gave it back to him in 1981 when I went overseas. He gave it back to me in 1984 when I returned. It's been from Indy to California twice, but I put very few miles on it from 1984 until 1992 when it became my daily driver in San Diego. Last September ('99) I took it off the street and started the tear down for restoration. Current "two tone" was the result of looking left and driving right back in '94. Got the bonnet off a '73 in a salvage yard - knowing what I do now, I should have bought the whole thing for parts!
