1962 Triumph TR4

Having owned a TR-4 in the mid-60s when I was a young fighter pilot, I thought that when I retired from the Air Force after 37 years, I needed a project to keep me busy. Thus I entered the male, midlife, motoring menopause and bought a TR-4 about three years ago to prepare for life 'on the outside'. The car had had some 12 owners during its life and had one attempt at a restoration in 1978. Apart from minor tinworm attacks, it was solid but not straight. I did a complete nut and bolt job on it, fixed the chassis and rebuilt the complete car with a few personal touches just to annoy the 'purists'. It took me 12 months full time and it was great fun.
