I am a rev head you see, would luv to have been around in Kastner's time etc. but can only now afford my pleasure.

1967 Triumph TR4A

Commission #: CTC77717
Manufactured: 1967
Owned since:
Status: concours/racer

Trying to get my 4A from sprints, where it has been ultra competitive, beats all the sixes, and quicker than a lot of the so called hi tech cars. Problem is I have been running Webers for the top end power, and was told that TR never homologated Weber Carbs. According to Kastner et al this is not so . I have therefore e-mailed them to confirm, as then I can maybe convince our racing gurus here to let me run with them too on that basis, otherwise I am stuck with SU and whilst they are good, they do limit the top end there is no doubt about that. I know as I have just taken off my Webers and put SU back on to get past scrutineering. But If I can confirm that without doubt Triumph put Webers on the TR4/A I can probably get them to let me run them. As my car is a 67 I fall into a category from 1996 on up to 3liters. That means all those hotties that came out about then are running around with me! Pre 1996, and you've got the TR2/3 etc.
