1963 Triumph Spitfire Mk.I

Completely rebuilt as a race car using a Mk1 Spitfire body on a 1972 GT6 rotoflex chassis (using GT6 Brakes and Gearbox). The engine is a highly modified 1296 (Mk3) Spitfire engine with Aluminum Flywheel, Solid Kevlar clutch and Spitfire 1500 pressure plate. Differential is a locked 4.11. Wheels are 6" from a TR8 using Goodyear Eagle 22.5x7.5x13 cantilevered slicks. Suspension includes lowered GT6 springs and SPAX adjustable shocks. Fuel comes from a 5 gallon fuel cell, supplied by a Holly Racing pump through a Holly fuel pressure regulator to twin Weber 40DCOE2 carburetors.
