My car is currently undergoing surgery to transform her from a ratty white '63 TR 4 to a natty black TR 4. Why black you might ask? Yes, I know it's the hardest color for body work, but I have found an excellent body man who charges very little. He's an English ex-pat who also restores Morgan, Lotus, and other marques, plus he lets me do the grunt work of cutting out the rusted floor panels and such. This car has been white, blue, red, and white again, so I'm not looking to score points for original paint in concours. I noticed how few black 4's I saw at the shows and how nice they looked. Besides, I really wanted a black sports car....
