I am a member of the VTR, the Stag Owners Club, England, the Stag Owners Club US, the Triumph Stag Registry US, and the Gold Coast Triumph Club. I have been on the list for as long as it's been around. I am a practicing attorney, and I have been restoring cars since high school. My wife, Susan, and I have completed restorations on an MGB, several TR6s, a Jaguar XJ6, a Triumph Herald and Triumph Stag, as well as a bunch of American and Italian stuff. I do as much of my own work as I am able, including all mechanical work. Currently we own a Stag and Herald.

Owned since: 1989
Status: a nice driver

I bought this car from a young man who drove it to South Florida from NW Georgia. He had 2 kids and the car was his only transportation. While it ran, it needed a lot. Originally Sapphire blue, I have repainted it in a more fitting South Florida color, turquoise, with a white interior and new white top. It has it's original 1200cc motor, which I have reworked the head on, and I plan on building a new bottom end of the motor very soon. I have replaced the front drum brakes with disc brakes, and replaced the transmission with a J type o/d, all from a Spitfire parts car. I have also fitted wire wheels. We have taken the car to Orlando (a 4 hour trip) and to St.Augustine (a 5+ hour trip) on the interstate for various car shows. The car is fun to drive and gets lots of attention. Many folks think it's an Amphicar. The only problem with the car is my wife won't let me sell it to make way for the next project!
