Status: Driver
Attached are 2 pictures of my frame off restoration which took 4 years. It is made of many cars. The mechanicals are from a 50,000 mile car that had rusted away. The body from a rust free Arizona car. The fenders are from various cars and locations. All in all it is rust free and runs perfect. It started up last May and hit the road in August. It has run 1500 miles with no failures to date. I try to drive it every week when the weather is nice. Car has American Mag Racing Wheels. I varied from originality a little by putting 1972 TR6 seats and shoulder seat belts in the car. It also has the wooden steering wheel. Serial # is CTC 66345. My son and I did the car except for the engine and painting. It will be passed on to him when I can't take care of it anymore. He drove it for the first time 2 weeks ago. He was surprised by the handling and the solidness of the drive.
I had a 63 TR4 in 1966 in WV and loved it. I was only 17 at the time. It also had the American Mags and was British Racing Green. This car is correct as Triumph Racing green. My wife and I dated in this car. It was sold to a soldier at Fort Knox in 1970 while I was stationed there. I was on the way to Germany.
