1957 Triumph TR3A

Here's a shot of my 1957 TR3A, taken in Rhode Island, where I was stationed in the Navy back in 1965. Notice the wire wheels, luggage rack, and I even had a wood steering wheel! I drove that car from R.I. to Rochester, N.Y. almost every weekend that I was in port, when I was dating my (now) wife with not one breakdown (the car, that is). After getting out, getting married, and starting a family I decided we needed a family-sized car, so traded the TR in for a Ford. That only lasted a year or so, when I moved to Texas, and bought an MGB that I drove back and forth from Texas to New York, again with no problems. My first love being the TR, however, I sold the MG and bought my present TR3 in 1973.
